Tarique Rahman , the elder son of Former President of Bangladesh Major General (Rtd.) Ziaur Rahman (BIR-UTTOM) and Begum Khaleda Zia, Ex-Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Present Opposition Leader of Bangladesh Parliament. He is mostly known as TARIQUE ZIA. He is the Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) which is the biggest political party in Bangladesh by popularity.
Tarique Zia is elected as Senior Vice-President on National Council of BNP on 8th December’2009. Before that he was appointed as the Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP in June’2002 by the BNP Standing Committee (The highest policy making body of the party). By the time he proves himself as the most Dynamic, Young and Visionary leader of Bangladesh.
Tarique Zia is now in the United Kingdom for treatment of the ailment believed to have caused to him because of the mis-treatment in the name of interrogation during the interim government of Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed for his alleged corruption involvement.
